CQ Capital Partners is currently seeking an experienced estimator/ project engineer to join our growing team. Successful candidate will have a background in site development including underground utilities. Duties would include material takeoffs, labor and equipment estimating, strong computer skills are a must. Seeking a candidate with 2+ years of experience in Commercial and Residential construction estimating. Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment and producing detailed, accurate results on multiple and varied projects. Timberline estimating experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPINCIBILITIES
Insure profitability, client satisfaction, the best subcontractors and bid option for the job through clearly identifying areas of risk profitability.
Develop and manage self and others achieve milestones on schedule to ensure that your knowledge of the project and its requirements is strategically ahead of the subcontractor work.
Ensure adequate market coverage by maintaining a current knowledge of the market and trade jurisdiction and their correlation to the project.
Prepare multiple budgets for all phases (i.e. conceptual, schematic, design/development, final phase) and provide thorough reconciliation.
Preserve design intent by continually reviewing documents for consistencies through all phases of the job to insure that the design parallels our budget predictions and the client’s expectations.
Develop critical relationships with clients, subcontractors, design team, vendors, and coworkers through collaborative work, constructive communication and a strong commitment to client needs.
Drive the growth and development of assigned assistant estimators through education, mentorship and objective assessments based on established performance goals.
Create and maintain project schedules.
Assist the Project Manager with project set-up, document control and other related project activities.
Minimum Requirements
GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Advanced skills in estimating.
Advanced understanding of plans and specifications.
General understanding of construction processes and methods.
Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
General knowledge and use of construction management programs (Timberline, Primavera and Sure Track).
Minimum of 2 years experience.
