Requirements: Incumbent must meet licensing requirements as a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Psychologist (LPC). These requirements are established by Department of Defense and Department of the Navy instructions and Marine Corps orders (MCO P1700.24B). The Combat Center is a joint-jurisdiction installation, so the incumbent must be licensed by the State of California (or eligible to be licensed within 3 years of the date of hire).

Position: The ideal applicant will provide evidence of superior administration that includes (1) assurance and meticulous documentation of rule and regulation compliance, (2) management, training, and maintenance of superior performance among staff with regard to case management including diagnosis, group and individual treatment, and wrap-around referral regarding career/vocational training, mental health, substance abuse, and community integration, (3) direct services to military members, spouses, and other dependents, under the guidance of the FAP Branch Manager. (4) provides treatment services to clients referred to the FAP Branch because of child or spouse abuse within the military family; and/or clients seeking general personal counseling services. (5) records in accordance with Marine Corps Orders or Instructions with guidance from the Family Advocacy Program Manager (FAPM) and EFMP Manager. (6) familiar with the Joint Legal Assistance Office Family Law services and policies with particular attention to services offered for the presentation of Temporary Restraining Orders, release of confidential information, and transitional compensation
(7) knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance, and (8) supportive interaction with clients prone to verbal and physical confrontation.
